We Built something amazing
Our new Yoga Shala flower had bloomed.
Indulge in the unique craftsmanship of bamboo architecture, exemplified by a specialist in bio-architecture. This discipline of design found its crowning achievement in the ‘Flower,’ a Yoga Shala. This is not merely a structure—it embodies a harmonious blend of human innovation and the resilient strength of bamboo.

BALI CULTURE
The warmth and willingness of the Balinese is spellbinding, not to mention their world renowned smiles. On the Island of the Gods, one of the most spiritually rich places on the planet, Balinese rituals and myths are still thriving and remain deeply respected and very much a part of daily life.
BALI
Exploring and embracing another way of living, thinking and believing, opens our eyes and our hearts to another way of being. In Bali, there is beauty everywhere you look. The blend of magic, spirituality, awe-inspiring nature and the artful essence of the Balinese culture, will have you feeling like this island is your own personal piece of pure heaven.
UBUD
Ubud means medicine, and rightfully so. It is well known that people get exactly what they need here. The profound energies give way to undeniable synchronicities that enhance the flow of one’s life. This mecca of magic attracts incredible healers, and those seeking their help, find what they are looking for. Everyone who comes here feels this and knows it to be true. This is an experience you simply don’t want to miss.
Green Practices
In Bali, there are over 300,000 tons of plastic waste generated per year, and 33,000 tons of it end up in the rivers and ocean. It is a huge problem, and we have decided to do something about it. There is absolutely no plastic used on site, and we only work with suppliers that have plastic free packaging. In addition, we implement initiatives to clean up our beaches and rivers on a regular basis.
Sustainability is the top priority when making decisions about Solana’s architectural design and construction. The low-impact, renewable resource bamboo was used to build our beautiful yoga shala, rooms and restaurant. Our eco project was built with the help of the world renowned bamboo architects of the Pablo Luna Studio. In addition, our villas are made using a rammed earth technique that eliminates the need for concrete, lightening the environmental impact and offering great insulation.
At Solana, we are always mindful of our water usage and gently remind our guests to do the same. All toilets are eco-friendly, and the showers are designed to minimize water consumption. Our water heating system is also energy efficient.
Our organic gardens are abundant in fruit trees, medicinal herbs, and vegetables that not only nourish our guests but also help eliminate mosquitos.
Using a compost circle, all organic waste is recycled and used to nourish and increase the nutrients in the soil of our gardens. All of Solana’s luxury bath and body products and cleaning supplies are locally sourced, biodegradable and have no impact on nature. The wastewater is also naturally cleaned and returned to the earth where it is needed the most.
Our well water is already very fresh, and we use an additional bio filtration process to ensure this. Naturally cleaned water runs from every single tap at Solana.
The palm oil plantations have destroyed the lush rainforests of the Kalimantan region in Indonesia. We are passionate about the reforestation in this area and collaborate with https://www.borneonaturefoundation.org/ to plant ten trees on behalf of every Solana guest.
The water reserves in Bali are dangerously depleted, due to hotels and villas building countless pools with no environmental initiatives. Solana takes action by collecting the rainwater and using it to replenish the diminishing water tables on the island.
